The difference in one sentence
In a black-box system, signals or trades come out and the logic stays hidden. In a transparent (sometimes called white-box) system, you can read every condition that leads to an order, and you are the one who set it.
Problems with hidden logic
- You cannot tell whether a good result came from skill, luck or an assumption that no longer holds.
- You cannot debug a bad trade, because you cannot see which condition caused it.
- You cannot tell when conditions have changed enough that the system should be switched off.
- Past results shown by a seller may be selective or untested with costs, and you cannot verify them.
- Promises of steady or guaranteed returns are a warning sign in any market.
What visible rules give you
- You can explain every trade in a sentence.
- You can test the exact rules yourself, with your own costs and time periods.
- You can change one rule and see precisely what that change did.
- You can set your own risk limits and see them applied.
A quick checklist before you trust any trading tool
- Can I read the full entry and exit logic?
- Can I run my own backtest with costs, and does it match what is claimed?
- Does it say clearly that results are not guaranteed?
- Do I control when it starts, stops and how much it risks?
- Does it avoid telling me what to buy or sell, and explain what it does instead?
How MyAlgoAgent approaches it
MyAlgoAgent is software for building, testing and running strategies whose rules belong to you. The strategy logic stays visible to you, the AI assistant explains and prepares things for your review rather than telling you what to trade, and nothing goes live without your own confirmation.
